2025 NCHSAA 2A Basketball Championships
WINSTON-SALEM — The Reidsville Rams secured their second consecutive NCHSAA 2A State Championship with a dominant 71-54 victory over Northwood at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The win marks their 60th straight victory, further solidifying their legacy.
Northwood, the Eastern Champions, kept pace with the defending titleholders through the first half. However, Reidsville took control in the third quarter, outscoring the Chargers 21-10 to break the game open.
Point guard Dionte Neal led the charge for the Rams, scoring 24 points while adding five rebounds and four assists. He sealed the win at the free-throw line, making 7-of-9 attempts, and was named the West’s Most Outstanding Player. Johnniyus Sharpe contributed 18 points, two rebounds, and two assists, earning the Charlie Adams Most Valuable Player Award.
Kendre Harrison delivered a strong performance with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and six blocks.
For Northwood, Cam Fowler led all scorers with 27 points and added eight rebounds, earning the East Most Outstanding Player Award. Beau Harvey also contributed with 13 points and six rebounds.
Reidsville’s dominant second-half performance secured yet another championship, cementing their place as a powerhouse in North Carolina high school basketball.

WINSTON-SALEM — The Southeast Alamance Stallions held off the North Wilkes Vikings to claim their first NCHSAA Basketball Championship at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Holding a narrow one-point lead at halftime, the Stallions came out strong in the second half, extending their advantage to six by the start of the fourth quarter. While both teams struggled to find their rhythm offensively, the Stallions capitalized at the free-throw line, sinking 13-of-16 to seal the victory.
Clara LaChapelle led Southeast Alamance with a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, earning her East Most Outstanding Player honors. Shaniya Paylor contributed 12 points, seven assists, and four rebounds, earning the Kay Yow Most Valuable Player Award.
For North Wilkes, Ralee Bare led all scorers with 16 points and five rebounds, securing the West Most Outstanding Player award. Her sister, Shalyn Bare, controlled the boards with a game-high 14 rebounds while adding four points.
With this win, the Stallions are now undefeated in championship games (1-0), while the Vikings remain winless (0-2), having previously fallen short in 2018.
