Raleigh, NC — NCHSAA Women’s Tennis State Championships: Historic Wins for C.E. Jordan and New Hanover
Addi McDowell of C.E. Jordan High School won the Women’s Tennis Singles Championship at the NCHSAA State Championships, held at Millbrook Exchange, marking the school’s first singles title since 1988. McDowell defeated Myers Park’s Teagan Reilly in a dominant 6-0, 6-2 victory in the final.
In doubles, New Hanover’s Sophia Catino and Hanna Davis secured their school’s first individual women’s title by beating Myers Park’s Kayla Nofziger and Agnes Shin 6-1, 6-4. This win also marked New Hanover’s second appearance in a championship match.
